How Viveve Works

Viveve is a quick comfortable treatment performed in our office. During the visit, a small treatment tip, about the size of your thumb, is inserted just inside the vaginal opening. The tip is rotated while it alternately cools the surface and heats the soft tissue beneath. With Viveve the surface vaginal tissue is not injured, so you can quickly get back to your normal activities – including intimacy!

Your body responds to the Viveve treatment by generating stronger collagen and more resilient cushioning in the vaginal opening. Women typically begin to feel the results at about 30 days and the full effect at about 90 days.

Sensational Results

Women who have had the Viveve treatment agree it works! In fact, 90% of the women treated reported statistically significant sustained tightening, sensation and satisfaction 12 months post-treatment.

PEE-FREE WORKOUTS

For many women in postpartum, menopausal or postmenopausal stages, incontinence can occur in several ways: stress incontinence, releasing small amounts of urine after sneezing, coughing, exercising or laughing; or urge incontinence*, the strong need to urinate but unable to get to the restroom in time. For menopausal and postmenopausal women, this is due to decline of estrogen which reduces the vulvo-vaginal mucosa and vaginal laxity, where the collagen and elastin in the vaginal wall diminish.

Stress or urge incontinence can occur from vaginal laxity, which impacts the pelvic floor and the urogenital muscles’ ability to function effectively. The Viveve treatment stimulates collagen growth through radio frequencies delivered in a non-invasive, low-risk application of heat to the vaginal wall. In turn, the vaginal wall becomes more pliant and supple as the collagen replenishes, and the tightness helps your body’s ability to properly control urine flow.

*Severe urinary incontinence may also be a symptom of a more serious medical condition and should be evaluated by a physician.

INCREASE SEXUAL SENSITVITY

For many women, vaginal laxity can lead to loss of sensitivity or less-than-optimal climax sensations during sex. Over time, the vagina loses tightness and sensitivity due to childbirth, age, hormonal imbalance or medical conditions. Collagen and elastin are primary building blocks of a tight, sensitive and most importanty, healthy vagina.

The advanced technology of gently radio frequencies to directly stimulate tissue remodeling (reorganization of renovation of existing tissue) helps to restore the elastin and collage to a more youthful, natural state. As a result, your vaginal wall plumps up and provides more lubrication and sensitivity during sex. This can also improve the quality and intensity of climax and create a more sensational experience for you and your partner.

IMPROVE VAGINAL LAXITY

Having a baby is an amazing experience. The toll it takes on your body is another story. After a vaginal birth, some new mothers suffer from symptoms of laxity: overstretched tissue and looseness. As the baby moves through the birth canal, the vagina stretches, affecting the vaginal wall. The result is a vagina that lacks its pre-birth tightness. Vaginal laxity symptoms can also include urinary incontinence and reduced sexual sensitivity that could lead to decreased satisfaction from sex.

We have the solution! With our Viveve treatment, you no longer have to endure laxity after childbirth. New mothers are able to receive the Viveve treatment as soon as 6 months after childbirth and can see symptoms improve in just a few weeks. So, try Viveve, and help your vagina recover and regain sensitivity and tightness.

VIVEVE QUESTIONS

We understand that there are many questions women have when considering any vaginal health procedure. Here are some of the most common concerns and questions we receive from patients about Viveve:

Although the vast majority of patients achieve phenomenal results, patients may consider retreatment as early as 3-6 months in an attempt to further improve their results. Many patients consider yearly treatments to maintain high level of satisfaction.

Side effects seldom occur and are typically mild, temporary, and resolve shortly after treatment. Side effects may include: slight, white vaginal discharge; redness or swelling; slight abdominal discomfort, focal, transient altered sensation and tingling following treatment.

In rare cases, a Viveve patient could develop an infection requiring antibiotics. Although no permanent complications have been reported to date, there is a remote possibility of damage to the urethra or rectum.

Intimate female rejuvenation with The Viveve® System uses cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency which helps to keep the delicate surface skin cool and undamaged at all times. This helps to ensure your complete comfort. Most patients only report a mild warming sensation during treatment.

The Viveve Treatment is contraindicated for patients with either an implantable pacemaker or an AICD (Automatic Implantable Cardioverter/Defibrillator) or any other implantable device as they may be adversely affected by radiofrequency (RF) fields or current.
